Refund policy or session changes:
March - April 15th: Receive a full refund minus a $35 processing fee per session.
April 16 - May 15: Receive a full refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session.
Starting May 16: No refunds issued. You may transfer your child’s tuition and spot to another child, informing Mia Cake House of the transfer. If we have a waiting list for the session we will try to allocate your spot to another child and will issue a full refund minus an administrative fee of $95 per session.
Prices & Discounts:
Session Price: $275 (full payment required on registration).
Early bird discount -$20 (ends April 1st), Session Price: $255
Double session discount or sibling discount- $15 per session
Discounts are per camper and cannot be combined (Early bird or sibling/double session)
Registration is limited to TWO (2) sessions per camper.
AGE REQUIREMENTS: Camper must be 8 – 13 years old. (must be 8 years old on September 1st 2020)
ABSENCE / CANCELLATION / NO SHOW Absences, withdrawals, no-shows or dismissals will not be eligible for refunds, transfers, or prorating.
HURRICANE / PUBLIC HEALTH: If for any reason local, state or federal agencies order a halt of activities in the city/county/state, camp payment will remain as a credit to be used in other Mia Cake House classes and camps. No refunds will be issued in such a case.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY In the event of an extreme medical emergency, Mia Cake House staff will contact emergency medical personnel and will then contact the child’s parent or guardian. In the event a parent/guardian cannot be reached the Emergency contact will be called. Based on medical personnel’s assessment, your child may be transported to a local hospital to receive further medical attention. Emergency Medical personnel will not honor requests to take children to specific hospitals, doctors or medical establishments.
BEHAVIOR POLICY
Mia Cake House is a place to enjoy and learn the art of baking and decorating. Each child should follow camp rules which include, but are not limited to: keeping hands and feet to themselves, respecting themselves, peers, instructors, and volunteers. Our activities are step by step classes and children must be able to follow instructions and do as requested.
In Mia Cake House we will not tolerate bullying or defiance toward instructors and volunteers.
When children choose not to follow any of these rules, The following is put in place:
1st incidence– Verbal warning
2nd incidence– We will contact the parent/guardian by phone to inform of the incidence
3rd incidence– Camper must be accompanied by a parent or tutor during camp activities in order to participate in camp activities.
Any action committed by a child that could or does result in injury to themselves, other campers, volunteers or staff will result in immediate expulsion from Mia Cake House's Summer Program. No refunds are given if a child is dismissed due to behavior issues!
Camp activities require the ability to follow instructions, concentrate and be seated for periods of 2-3 hours. You as a parent know your child better than anyone to decide if your child will enjoy the activities and follow the rules.
PHOTO RELEASE I authorize Mia Cake House Museum to take photographs of my child/children for marketing purposes. I give permission for these pictures to be used in the Company’s printed materials, including advertisements, brochures, flyers, websites, and social media.
I agree that in consideration of Mia Cake House allowing myself or my child’s participation in this these activities, under the terms set forth herein, I, the rider or the parent, for myself and on behalf of my child(ren) and/or guests, legal ward, heirs, administrators, personal representatives or assigns, do agree to hold harmless, release and discharge Mia Cake House Corp., its owners, agents, employees, officers, directors, representatives, assigns, members, owners of premises and trails, affiliated organizations, and insurers, and others acting on its behalf (hereinafter, collectively referred to as “Associates”), of and from all claims, demands, causes of action and legal liability, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, due to Mia Cake House and/or IT’S ASSOCIATES ordinary negligence; and I, the rider or the parent, do further agree that except in the event of Mia Cake House gross negligence and willful and wanton misconduct, I shall not bring any claims, demands, legal actions and causes of action, against Mia Cake House Corp. and IT’S ASSOCIATES as stated above in this clause, for any economic and non economic losses due to bodily injury, death, Property damage, sustained by me and/or my minor child, guest or legal ward in relation to the premises and operations of Mia Cake House.
Further, I confirm that my child is in good physical health and represent that my child has no existing physical disability, illness or condition of any type that might be aggravated by the participation in the above event.
I have read this Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability and understand that it is an absolute release and I execute the same freely and voluntarily and accept and agree to its terms and conditions.
